Sweet and crunchy apple chips are high fibre and low in saturated fat, making them a delicious snack. Being air-dried rather than fried, no oil or fat is added – making them low in saturated fat too. Limiting our intake of saturated fat is important to help maintain normal cholesterol levels. We’re advised to keep our daily intake of saturated fat to less than 20g per day for women and 30g per day for men. You can be confident that this is an all-natural, wholesome choice as they are 100% apple with no added preservatives or sugar. A 20 serving/packet is high in fibre. We’re advised to aim for 30g fibre each day, so dried fruit makes a great snacking choice – helping us to reach our daily fibre target. Including dried fruit, like apple chips in our diet regularly could help us to reach the recommended daily intake of 30g fibre.
